Who can nominate?
Anyone can nominate an educator or service provider as long as they meet the category eligibility criteria.
Who can is eligible to be nominated for an award?
The awards are open to Northern Territory educators and services catering for young children including:
- long day care
- family day care
- preschool
- kindergarten
- outside school hours care
- rural and remote early childhood services
- Families as First Teachers program
- playgroups

Anyone can nominate an educator or service provider as long as they meet the category eligibility criteria.

Yes, self-nominations are accepted.

When is the award ceremony?
The award ceremony will be held on the evening of Friday 12 October 2018.
Where is the awards ceremony?
The award ceremony is held in Darwin.
What do the winners receive?
Award recipients receive a certificate, commemorative trophy and cash prize of $3000.
- For individual awards, the cash prize is intended to assist with individual professional development. Examples include, further study, participation in a course or conference or membership to a professional association or access to sector specific resources.
- For service awards (outstanding achievement in community engagement and outstanding achievement in innovative practice) the cash prize is intended to contribute to general professional development of staff, program delivery or other quality improvements for the service provider.
Financial assistance for travel and accommodation costs will be provided to shortlisted nominees who reside outside of Darwin and Palmerston.
