Awards Governance

The awards are administered in accordance with the roles and responsibilities outlined in the Northern Territory Education and Care Awards Terms of Reference (ToR)

The ToR outlines the eligibility requirements of applicants, the award categories and roles and responsibilities of various parties involved with the awards including the awards coordinator and judging coordinator.

The Department of Education acts in a governance role to ensure management decisions are transparent and consistent with the ToR and intent of the awards. The department also provides financial and officer support to guide and assist with the coordination of the awards.
